MARIANNA MODEL

ABOVE:  This home has an elevated floor system so that the finished floor is more than three

feet above the grade around the property.   This elevation is key for a well proportioned

elevation, for privacy from the inside, and provides a discount on flood insurance.  We also

incorporated brick piers and traditional columns for a timeless appeal.

The Mariana model is much larger than the elevation reveals from the road.  The floor plan

includes a spacious kitchen and owner's suite.  The one story floor plan means there are no

stairs to climb.  The side elevations also feature gable ends trimmed out with natural cedar

shakes.  Notice too the two piece watertable trim that runs along the bottom of the wall

between the siding and the foundation.   This detail not only helps the house look old, but

it also helps to shed water away from the foundation.

ABOVE:  The rear porch promises to be a great place for outdoor living.  This home also

includes a detached storage shed with covered patio for additional outdoor living and storage.

ABOVE:  The living room features a step ceiling, two ceiling fans, french doors out to a

spacious covered porch.  There are several windows that let in lots of natural light.  All of

the windows and doors have custom trim to go with the custom baseboard and brazilian cherry

hardwood floors.  The drywall has a smooth finish on the walls and ceilings for a clean look.

ABOVE: This kitchen was designed to accomodate two cooks in the kitchen and lots of

guests gathered around.  The kitchen is open to the living room and to the dining room.   The

cabinets are solid wood construction and include crown moldings, pull out spice rack, deep

drawers for large containers and appliances, glass front doors, and several open shelves that

provide space for personalizing the kitchen.  Two large windows bring in lots of natural light.

The Energy Star Whirlpool appliances are stainless steel and black for a little contemporary flare.

The door at the left opens to a spacious pantry.  All of the interior doors in our homes are solid

doors for additional durability and soundproofing.  These five panel style doors were selected

to reflect prevalent cottage plans.

BELOW:  The details continue right into the bathroom tile and fixture selections.  The showers have

designer tile patterns and decorative bands. The master shower shown here has both the rain style

shower head above and a flexible shower arm detail on the wall for maximum flexibility.
