294 St. George Street - Framing and Siding

BELOW:  The following photos show the top gable roof being framed out closer to the rear of the addition.  These

photos also show the removal of all the exisitng roofing and the new peel and stick roofing underlayment.  The photos

also show the two crickets that were framed to accomodate the third gable end extension.

BELOW:  The following photos show some of the interior spaces after demolition.  We removed several layers of

flooring to get back to the original subfloor to plane out with the new addition.  Some subfloor repairs have already

been made to avoid injury.  Other areas likely need repair as well.

BELOW:  The windows and doors have been installed.  We have also successfully bored through one palm tree to

make the first corner post.  We are waiting for another shipment of palm posts to complete the columns.  Upon first

selection we found it most difficult to find straight lengths 10 feet long.   Siding work to commence this week.

NOTE that the lower sash of these windows in the master suite are being changed out for single pane sashes.

The manufacturer mistakenly added the diagonal grills to both top and bottom sash.  New sashes are on order.
