Lakeview Condo Remodel - Framing

BELOW:  The floors in the areas around the work area have been covered to minimize any damage to the existing

hardwood floors.  All demolition debris has been removed from the property and disposed of.

BELOW:  This photo shows the rough opening for the pocket door with the linen closet in the background.

BELOW:  WE have already built the knee wall so that it will be ready to be installed once the plumber completes their

work underfloor.  Note that all of the knee wall material is pressure treated.  Note also that additional top plates will

be added at the time of installation.

BELOW:  We have cut out the floor to expose the existing plumbing.  Next week plumbing shall begin.  Note that

all of the blocking for the shower pan has been installed and is Pressure treated material.  Under the knee wall you

can see that we had to add new plywood under the new wall to level the floors.  The floors in this location were

5/8" of an inch out of level.  Note also the solid blocking at the knee wall intersect for eventual glass door installation.

BELOW:  The studs shown between our new wall and the existing window will present some challenge in locating

switches in this location.  We hope to notch the studs to center our switches and put in a new stud to compensate structurally.

BELOW:  This photo shows the now larger master bedroom.  Carpet will be removed during the next phase of the project.  For now the

carpet is helping to keep the dust and noise down.

BELOW:  This glass table was left behind.   Please advise what if it is to stay or be removed.
